How We Met
& Fell in Love

01

The Spark & The Unspoken Feeling

It all started in our college Insta group chat. What began as a silly little argument took an unexpected turn when I found out she was applying to be the Lahore section manager for the Healers Club. We started talking — endless, effortless conversations full of laughter.

Then came the day we met on campus for the first time. The moment my eyes landed on her, I completely melted. Back then, I couldn't even wrap my head around what I was feeling — but looking back, it was love. A kind of love I had never experienced in my entire life.

From that moment on, we were inseparable. We'd arrive at college early and stay late, doing nothing complex — just sitting together under the warm sun or chilling in the café.

The Storm & The Confusions

Right around CIES, I finally confessed. But my mind was a chaotic storm — I was confused, overwhelmed, and completely lost in my own head. During our 1122 internship, while she was effortless and perfect, I felt distant, unable to figure myself out.

I hit rock bottom and made terrible mistakes. I almost lost everything, writing what felt like a final goodbye — but she reached me before it was too late. I survived, but the wake of that chaos left us both confused and hurting.

Yet, somehow, slowly but surely, we dragged ourselves through the fog of A2, heading toward a turning point neither of us saw coming.

The Northern Trip: A Broken Start

By the time our northern trip arrived, I felt completely defeated. Deep down, I was convinced she didn't feel anything for me anymore, yet I worked tirelessly to make that trip happen just to be near her.

Normally, I'm a confident guy, but around her? Hawa nikal jati hai. My nerves got the best of me, and I ended up accidentally ignoring her.

By the end of Day 1, her patience wore thin:

"Uni ke paas chale jao."

My heart shattered. I wanted to forfeit the entire trip and isolate myself in the dark.

A few friends dragged me out to cheer me up, but seeing me with them only made her angrier. Still, we agreed on one thing: we wouldn't let this ruin the trip, and we'd address the tension later. That reality check woke me up. I decided to give her my absolute all.

Purple Flowers, Rain, and Lanterns

We went to Babusar Top and snapped a photo together.

On the way to Lulusar Lake, I kept noticing her pointing at these vibrant purple flowers growing on the steep, dangerous hills. Then I noticed something else: she was still carrying the little pocket mirror I had gifted her a year ago. A wave of regret hit me — I felt my gift had been so small, so inadequate for someone like her.

When we stopped at the lake, the rain began to pour. On the steep hillside, I saw those exact purple flowers. Throwing caution and logic to the wind, I hiked up that slippery slope in the rain — just to pick them for her.

That night by the riverside, while everyone was distracted preparing to float paper lanterns, we stole a moment in time. Just the two of us. The gentle rush of the river, the cool night air, and her voice explaining everything to me.

I didn't just feel fondness — I fell in love with her all over again.

I wished that single moment could stretch into eternity.

Afterward, we lit the lanterns together and watched our hopes float into the night sky.

The next day at Babusar Lake, surrounded by majestic mountains, I wasn't looking at the peaks — I was looking at my angel. I fell for her a third time.

Aging Like Fine Wine

When the trip ended and it was time to say goodbye, the distance felt physically painful. But good moments don't just end — sometimes, they mark a new beginning.

A friend (Chattah) noticed the undeniable energy between us, did some investigating, and long story short: she had feelings for me, too.

We officially started dating. In the beginning, we were both a little clueless, trying to navigate what this meant. But with time, our love has been aging like fine wine.

Getting to know her as my partner has shown me a side of her that is even more stunning than I imagined. Our love languages are completely different — I pour my heart out in words, while she shows her love through quiet actions, thoughtful changes, and care.
